TINA ANSARI, OD
Founder | Optometrist
Dr. Tina Ansari earned her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from University of Virginia. Post-graduation, she spent a year working in research at the Pathology department at UVA. While she found the experience to be quite rewarding, she realized that she wanted to work directly with patients. She went on to attend and earn her Doctorate in Optometry from University of California – Berkeley. Her training focused on primary eye care, contact lens fitting, and ocular disease management with externships at the Portland VA Medical center, Seymour Johnson Airforce Base, and the Casa Grande VA Medical Center. After several years of practicing out West, she decided to move back to her home state of Virginia to be closer to family.

Dr. Ansari has several years of experience in different modes of practice including hospital, retail, private optometry and ophthalmology, and mobile nursing home care. She established Lumen Eye Center to use her diverse experience to provide the highest level of care to the patients in her community.

Dr. Ansari can perform exams in Farsi and Korean. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, painting, traveling, and trying new cuisine.
SUZY
Patient Experience Coordinator
Suzy is a Virginia native and graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Health and Wellness. She started her career as a Fitness Trainer for a large Health Club in Chantilly, Va but found a love for sales and switched to an IT provider firm. She has been a stay at home mom for the past 20 years but decided to come out of retirement for the chance to work for Dr. Ansari at Lumen Eye Center.
Suzy lives in Bristow, VA with her husband, three boys and her dog, Whisky. She loves the outdoors and in her spare time she enjoys working out, golfing, skiing and fishing.
TAYLOR
Patient Experience Coordinator
Taylor earned her Associates in Health Sciences Specialization from Northern Virginia Community College and found a love for eye care with the goal of becoming a pediatric optometrist in the future.
Taylor enjoys meeting and working with patients including styling them in new eye wear, contact lens trainings, and dry eye treatments. In her free time, Taylor enjoys water coloring, reading, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
